owariasahi efc, nagoya area

This church planting project was sponsored by the Central District of the EFC of Japan. We began worship services at Owariasahi EFC on Easter Sunday in April 1987. Our nucleus of believers was the five young at heart people in the two top pics at the right.

Each Sunday for the first three years we met for worship in our living room. In 1990 we moved the church to a nearby office building. And then in 1993 the church purchased the mission owned house (with the help of the Central District of the EFC of Japan and a gift from the Womens Ministries of the EFC of Canada), expanded the living room into a worship hall, and remodelled the second floor as a parsonage.

In 1994 the church called its first pastor and we moved on to our next ministry assignment. By then, the group of just the ladies had grown to the size in the bottom pic at the right.
