Japan Disaster Relief (#2-4615)

Dale and Ann Little will be leading the EFCCM relief ministry in Japan, beginning in November 2011. We will be working in cooperation with local churches. More at Dale's japanquake.ca.

We plan to set up base in or near Shichigahama, one of the hardest hit towns, just east towards the Pacific Ocean from Sendai city in Miyagi prefecture. We will be clearing debris, distributing relief supplies, sharing the good news of Jesus, helping the church(es) in the area, and hopefully laying the foundation for planting a new EFC church.

We will be seeking volunteers to rotate in from Nov/2011 to Oct/2012. Each member will be required to commit to at least one week of relief work on-site (excluding travel to/from Japan). This will require at least a 10 day commitment. More details about team member requirements coming at japanquake.ca in August 2011.

We will be managing the approximately $40,000 that has come in so far for this ministry project.

Tokyo Multicultural Church (TMCC) Partnership (#2-2302)

Goal: $3100 per month over four years (2012-2016)

This financial project provides much of the initial funding for planting Tokyo Multicultural Church. Donations are invited from both churches and individuals. Contributions to this special project will be applied to initial ministry and facility expenses of TMCC. These are the kinds of expenses that a baby church particularly struggles with in the first years of its life.

The target launch date for TMCC was to be the fall of 2011. But with the 3/11/11 quake and tsunamis in Japan, the launch date has been postponed one year, so that Dale and Ann can lead the Japan recovery ministry of the EFCCM. Initial funding for TMCC will be needed for four years. It is estimated that $3100 per month from this special project fund will be required for ministry and facility expenses during those four years. (Note: the remaining costs will be met by those who attend TMCC.)

Churches that would like to send short term missionaries to serve at TMCC (and we welcome such short term missionaries!) must be TMCC partner churches.
