Tokyo Multicultural Church (TMCC) Partners

We are seeking partners for our Tokyo Multicultural Church church planting project to be launched in December 2012. For the first few years of this church planting project—until TMCC has a stable group of members and attenders—partners will do a fair bit of the heavy lifting by providing a major portion of the financial and personnel resources.

A TMCC Partner (church or individual) makes a minimum monthly commitment of $110 over four years, from 2012-2016. This contribution is routed through our EFC of Canada Mission approved TMCC Partnership special project fund.

Partner churches are invited to send financially supported short term missionaries to participate in the following kinds of hands-on ministries at TMCC:

• Distribution of evangelistic and church literature for one week (pre-Christmas and pre-Easter).
• Evangelistic English conversation class teaching for two weeks to three months (fall, winter, or spring).
• Interim cross-cultural pastorate for three months with a focus on teaching and preaching (fall, winter, or spring), using English or a language of one of the departments of TMCC such as Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Cross-cultural church planting internships for seminary students, lasting a minimum of three months. Internships will be in English.

Such short term missionaries will come from partner churches and will come fully supported. This is not a short term tentmaking ministry. It is estimated that in addition to airfare, travel and health insurance, short term missionaries will need to raise $3000 per month to cover in-country expenses (prorated according to length of ministry).
