Sunrise Chapel (Tokyo), 1999-2003

Sunrise Chapel in Higashimurayma City, Tokyo, began home meetings in 1992 under the leadership of Andrew Furuyama, former pastor of the mother church, Tokyo Musashino EFC (Musashino Chapel Center). After Furuyama-sensei passed away, we eventually became the church planters. From 1999 - 2004 our primary ministry was leading the Sunrise Chapel church planting project. When Sunrise Chapel was able to call its first full time pastor in 2004, we transitioned to our next ministry--the pastorate of the English congregation back at Musashino Chapel Center.

The lower pic at the right shows the attendance over the years we led the church. The generous giving patterns over the same period of time (not pictured) show about the same growth rate.
